Switching to iOS just got a lot easier.

Switching to iOS just got a lot easier.

Tim Cook said the iPhone 6 would trigger an avalanche of Android users to switch to iPhone and so far he's been right. Previous iPhone owners have been slow to upgrade to the newer, bigger iPhones, but Apple is coming out with a new tool that will make it even easier for Android users to switch to iOS.

As part of its promotional page for iOS 9, Apple has revealed is new app called Move to iOS that makes the migration from Android much easier for people new to iPhone.

To make the switch, users just download the Move to iOS app on their old Android and new iOS device. The app then securely transfers all of your contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts, calendars, wallpaper, and DRM-free songs and books.

The app will even help you rebuild your app library by taking all the free apps you used and suggest them for download on the App Store. It can't transfer any of your paid apps that you bought on Google Play, but it will add them to your iTunes Wish List so you can spend less time hassling with your device, and more time connecting with the stuff you love.
