Fujifilm UK previews customized X-series cameras at TPS
// fujifilm related news: Digital Photography Review (dpreview.com)

It looks like Fujifilm UK is preparing a new service allowing certain X-series cameras to be customized with a range of different colors and body textures. The company has shown customized cameras at The Photography Show this week in Birmingham, UK, and pages for an 'X Signature' service are live on its website, but some pages lead to errors and the company has not enabled purchases yet.

Cameras listed as available for the 'X Signature' service are the X10, X20, X100, X-Pro1 and X-E1. It's unclear when the service will be available, or whether it will remain limited to the UK market.

As the site is currently configured, X10 and X20 owners can choose from up to 12 colors, with names like yellow lizard, brown croc, and white crinkle. X100 and X-E1 users can choose from up to eight, and X-Pro1 users can choose from nine colors. The site also offers pre-customized X-20, X-E1, and X-Pro1 cameras. As yet, the X Signature service page does not list the newer X100S or X-E2.

It seems pretty clear that the X Signature service isn't quite ready, and we wouldn't be surprised to see the X100S and X-E2 listed when the site goes live officially. As yet there's no word whether the X Signature service will be available in other countries, but as soon as we get an official update from Fujifilm we'll let you know.

As of press time, navigating to the Fujifilm UK site, clicking on Fuji Shop, and pulling down the Accessories menu will take you to the X Signature Skins order page.
