Looking for a great way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Mac? You could certainly do worse than download a font from Apple that shows every single Mac that's even been created in place of the usually boring business of letters and numbers. And here's the big surprise--we're not even sure if Apple meant for it to be downloaded, to you should probably get your hands on it while it's still around.

The front includes the whole Mac line, going all the way back to the one that inspired that phenomenal Orwellian commercial back in the day. You won't find it on Apple's own website; instead, as TechCrunch reports, it's only available via a URL discovered by iOS developer Greg Barbosa while he was tinkering with Apple's website. It's the same font displaying all the Macs that Apple's using on its homepage for the 30th anniversary celebration.

Keep in mind that this isn't your ordinary font; to select the right Mac for whatever purpose you have in mind, you'd be best off opening your Font Book in OS X and copying and pasting it into your document of choice. As for Windows users, don't bother--I tried it out on Windows 7 and it just showed regular letters and numbers in Helvetica or Arial.

Keep in mind that there's a strong possibility that the font could vanish at any moment, so take the time to download it while you still can.
