In news that will doubtless be causing some red faces at Samsung, Electronista reports that the iPhone got the highest score for overall customer satisfaction in a survey of 44,168 smartphone owners in South Korea.
Apple scored 52 percent against Samsung's 50 and LG's 46. Apple also scored highest for after-sales support, reliability and speed of repair …
While this result would come as no surprise in the U.S., where the iPhone took the top slot in the JD Powers customer satisfaction survey nine years running (a fact Apple features prominently on its Why iPhone page), it's far more of a surprise in Samsung and LG's home territory, where South Korean consumers are normally fiercely loyal to local brands.
