Next-Gen Chevy Camaro Likely to get Turbo Four Cylinder
In the continued battle towards balancing fuel efficiency with performance, rumors of a turbocharged four-cylinder Chevrolet Camaro are surfacing yet again.
As automakers continue to enter global markets with their vehicles, they've been tasked with managing stricter emissions requirements in addition to the new CAFE fuel economy regulations in the U.S. So it's really no surprise that sources are now confirming that Chevy will outfit its popular Camaro with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine when its sixth-generation model surfaces.

The next-generation Camaro will be built on GM's new Alpha platform which is both smaller and lighter than the Zeta one that the Camaro is currently built on. Undoubtedly though, when the sixth-generation Camaro does surface in a few years, the American automaker will still offer V6 and V8 engine variants for its popular sports car. Combined with the new chassis, there's a lot to look forward to with the new Camaro.
