Judge rules Apple and Samsung can add products to suit and Google distributes standalone iOS map app according to sources
As the legal case between Apple and Samsung rages on, it looks like they can get even more intense. A judge has ruled that both Apple and Samsung can add additional products to the suit that exist between the two companies. Apparently, the judge feared that not allowing both companies to add new products to the existing suit would result in new lawsuits being filed.
Apple has decided to add the latest version of the Android operating system, Jelly Bean to the suit. It also added the US version of the Galaxy S III. Samsung added the Apple 5 to its case. The source is claiming that Google is distributing a standalone app for iOS maps.
IPhone 5 and iOS 6 users continue to be unhappy with Apple's own maps. Apparently the app is in beta is being tested by "individuals outside the company." There's no indication of when the Apple be available for everyone.
