Volkswagen Touareg Edition X Gets Fancy Treatment

Celebrating a decade of production for the funny-named SUV that people couldn’t pronounce at launch, Volkwagen is offering the Touareg Edition X.

Riding on special edition 19-inch alloy wheels, the package includes a panoramic sunroof, silver anodized roof rails, xenon head lights, darkened tail lights, lots of chrome and “Touareg X” badges.
The interior also gets a host of fancy touch-ups including red Nappa leather-upholstered seats and cabin accents. VW also slid real ebony accents into the doors and instrument panel.
It isn’t clear if the commemorative SUV will be offered in the U.S., but both a diesel and hybrid powertrain are available. In Europe, the package costs € 61,205 ($79,680), but American pricing, much like plans for sale here, are undisclosed.
