A slew of apps updated, launched or made announcements recently, and 9to5Mac gathered the most noteworthy ones in our regular round up below. Today's crop includes a new game from the makers of Angry Birds, a fresh app for finding and outsourcing well-paid jobs, a few app sales, and more. Rovio, the brains behind Angry Birds and Amazing Alex, just teased its next big release: Bad Piggies. There is no additional information regarding the game or pricing, but Rovio CEO Mikael Hed said, "Bad Piggies gives you the chance to play as the second-most-loved characters in the Angry Birds universe, and explore this rich world through their green eyes."

The Bad Piggies game is coming with no slingshot or @AngryBirds in sight! Out September 27th! #badpiggies  rov.io/RCATj8

Sidekicker for iOS | Free

Sidekicker launched today, and it allows folks to small jobs in their area. The minimum wage is $25 per hour, and users even can outsource jobs with the app. The ability to add special instructions and set a wage is also included.

TouchArcade for iOS | Free

TouchArcade, the app that finds the hottest new games for iOS, just went to version 1.1. It is now universal with full iPad support and features push notifications for private messages. The usual bug fixes and improvements were also included in the update.

Oh, and Calculator Pro for iPhone(originally $2.99), music video-making photography app Vidify for iOS  (originally $1.99), and skill and strategy app OLO game for iOS (originally $1.99) are each free for today.
