Apple confirm next iPhone will be called iPhone 5

In one of the least inspiring invitations, Apple today sent out invites for their event next week to unveil the new iPhone, titled the iPhone 5.

The artwork for the invite is simply black and white and gives nothing away about the new iPhone 5, however if rumours are to be believed then the iPhone 5 is not visibly a great deal different to the iPhone 4S, except it has a slightly larger screen.

Die-hards, are still holding out for NFC in the next iPhone, but reports are sketchy and generally most are leaning towards NFC being a no-show in the iPhone 5.
