This week your challenge is to take and share an image with a shallow depth of field.
We want to see pictures with part of your shot in crystal clear focus and the rest thrown out of focus. You can read about how to get shallow depth of field shots here but in short you'll be wanting to shoot with wider open Aperture to get it.
I'll include some examples below of shallow depth of field being used in a variety of types of photography.
Once you've taken your shallow depth of field Images – choose your best 1-2, upload them to your favourite photo sharing site and either share a link to them or – embed them in the comments using the our new tool to do so.
If you tag your photos on Flickr, Instagram, Twitter or other sites with Tagging tag them as #DPSSHALLOW to help others find them. Linking back to this page might also help others know what you're doing so that they can share in the fun.
Also – don't forget to check out some of the great shots posted in last weeks Freestyle challenge where there were some great shots submitted.
Here are some examples to get you thinking about this week's challenge.
