The debate surrounding Apple's next-generation iPhone design continues. While countless sources have claimed that Apple's iPhone 5 will be an incremental upgrade akin to the iPhone 3G to iPhone 3GS bump, rumors continue to mount suggesting otherwise. The latest, which comes by way of DigiTimes, claims that Apple has purchased 200-300 glass cutting machines to be used by glass makers to build curved front panels for its fifth iPhone due later this year. While it is certainly possible that Apple's next iPhone will implement a number of design changes including a new curved front panel, many believe the next iPhone will be a modest upgrade — which may have already been pictured in an exclusive BGR report — that features a faster processor, better cameras, up to 64GB of internal storage, new radios compatible with additional carriers such as T-Mobile USA and Sprint, and a few other internal tweaks. Unfortunately is could be a while before we know for sure, as rumors suggest Apple may focus on software at this year's WWDC keynote and wait until its annual September event to unveil the next iPhone.
