Everybody may own at least one cell phone nowadays, but that doesn’t mean fixed line networks are dead. Case in point: Pioneer Japan’s TF-FN2000 [JP], a new series of cordless phones that will be available in black, white and red.
Technically, the phones are nothing special. They feature an LCD display at the base unit, a hands-free function, built-in answering machine and 180 hours of battery life (in standby). The main selling point here is the design, with the handset being just 89mm thin.
Pioneer will start offering the phones in Japan by the end of this month with an open price model.
