Lambretta, a famous line of motor scooters originally manufactured in Milan, inspired designer Jim Plester to create an intriguing collection of chairs. Manufactured by Iconic Design, each Lambretta chair is made from traditional scooter spares; this includes the leg shields, horn casting, badges and trim. The color of the bodywork can be based on traditional Lambretta colors, or can be more contemporary depending on the client's needs. the designer of these chairs is a self-confessed Lambretta enthusiast and has been so for over 30 years. Each chair is based on one of the 20 models of Lambrettas produced from 1957 to 1971; this includes the Li, TV, SX & DL/GP models.
The attention to detail does not stop at the bodywork. The upholstery is made from 100% leather and can be colored, although black leather is the standard. Each chair is finished with either leather piping or double stitching. The upper lumber panel is embroidered with the Lambretta logo. A quality seat mechanism was used, which gives the chair full swivel, tilt and height adjust.
