T-Mobile's apparently taking its new relationship with Apple quite seriously, as reported by MacRumors. Today the wireless carrier announced its plans for the upcoming iPhone 5c and the iPhone 5s, with the former available for no down payment and the latter available for with a down payment of $99.

It's when the total costs become involved that you might start questioning just how much cheaper the iPhone 5c really is. Once you've finished paying 24 monthly installments of $22 per month, the total cost for the device clocks in at $528. Pay the 24 monthly installments of $22.91 for the iPhone 5s, on the other hand, and you'll end up with a total cost of around $648.84. That seems like a significant advantage for a price that amounts to around a dollar more a month (coupled, of course, with the down payment).
The cost for the iPhone 5s is based on Apple's suggested retail price for the smartphone, but T-Mobile's iPhone 5c comes with a discount of $20 less than the normal unsubsidized retail price of $549. You can preorder the device from T-Mobile (and any other carrier) at 12:01 AM PT tomorrow, although the iPhone 5S will only be available once it hit stores on September 20.
