Here you have it, actual pics of Lamborghini's replacement for their aging Murcielago, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. From the get-go you can see that the Aventador takes quite a few queues from the $1,000,000 plus Murcielago Reventon super car, a car that was seemingly modeled after a stealth fighter. The Aventador's lines are highly sculpted and angular and while it's undoubtedly a Lamborghini, it's styling seems to be taking the company in a new direction. Where Ferrari produces cars that are elegant and soft, the lines of most Lamborghini's are now harsh and in your face. The Aventador is powered by a 60º mid-mounted V12 that puts out 700 hp and 509 ft-lbs of torque through a seven speed paddle shifted gearbox. With its all wheel drive system in place that means sub 3-second sprints to 60 mph and a top speed of over 215 mph.
Aside from it's massive V12 power plant the Aventador also packs such technology as a carbon fiber monocoque chassis that's said to increase rigidity by 70% over the outgoing Murcielago, as well as an inboard push-rod suspension.
The cars interior looks to be just as sculpted as the exterior, and features angular motifs in the seats, door panels and center console. As for the price of this new bull… we're thinking that it will be somewhere in the $325,000 range.
